Texas Living Room
This is our living area. My husband is a farmer, so I wanted to reflect a country farm feeling.

I love the rug, where did you find it?

I purchased the rug at rugsdirect.com. They have a large selection.

What a great look! I can't get over how the border matches the rug so perfectly. You really did a great job of tying things together. I think the table is my favorite piece. I could imagine walking into a farmhouse and seeing just that type of furniture. Do you like the wood floor for a common area like this? We're considering wood for our living room, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the idea yet. We have a laminate floor in our office that just seems to attract dust. I guess carpeting hides it much better! I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts!

Thank you Karen. I love the table, too, and looked a long time for it. The floor is Armstrong laminate. I do like it. We have parrots, and my husband tracks in a lot of farm dirt as well when he comes home. I find the floor very easy to clean, and it's more durable than wood.

Did you install the laminate flooring, or was it there before you moved in? We are interested in installing some in our loft, but are worried about the difficulty.

No we didn't install the floor ourselves. We got the flooring at Home Depot and they had somebody do it for us.
